The Concord Garden Club offers gardening-related events and programming throughout the year. Some of our programs and activities are open to the public. You can view and register for upcoming public programs below. Becoming a Garden Club member allows you to participate in all of our programming, community service and social activities. PAST PROGRAMS
We will make the decision for a rain day on the morning of September 16, so please indicate whether you can attend one or both days by RSVPing to both events. Admission is $10.00 on the 24th.
We will meet at the Park for a guided tour of the home, grounds and studios of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Admission on this date is free.
Please join us at our Annual Meeting to elect new officers, approve committee chairs, and conduct the Club’s business. We are planning to repeat the plant and garden items exchange we had last year, so please bring cuttings, seeds, pots and other items to give and get. Light breakfast provided.
Discover the hidden language of flowers in art. From lilies in Renaissance paintings to wilting bouquets in Dutch still lifes, artists have long used blooms to convey meaning. This talk explores how flowers shaped visual culture and continue to inspire today.
Isabel Burley of Black Forest Nursery wil discuss some of the common problems for a variety of indoor plants and how to manage them, including yellowing, browning tips, pests, overwatering, underwatering, failure to bloom, leaf drop, etc.
Travel through two remarkable gardens without leaving your seat! Melissa will share the history and beauty of Iford Manor in England, while Lauren takes us to Les Quatre Vents in Quebec—one of North America’s most breathtaking landscapes.
Art & Bloom is back for its 23rd year showcasing floral arrangements created by Garden Club members, community members and professional designers. These will interpret works of art by the Women’s Caucus for Art on exhibit in Kimball Jenkins’ winter show. Art & Bloom is free and open to the public.
Continue our annual tradition of creating holiday decorations with MCNH residents. Please bring greens and clippers.

Learn how, when and why to divide your perennials. Isabel Burley of Black Forest Nursery will discuss timing, soil preparation, watering and how to identify the best time to divide plants. She will also demonstrate the process for different plant/root types. Question and answer period to follow.
