About the Event
We will meet at the Park for a guided tour of the home, grounds and studios of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. We can enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds (many of the gardens are historically accurate from original plans), walking and hiking paths and sculptures by the artist situated on the grounds and in the artist’s studios. In addition, an exhibition by contemporary sculptor, Sarah Peters, the Saint-Gaudens 2025 Fellowship recipient, will be on view.
Bring a lunch or snack. We can picnic on the grounds (there are picnic tables scattered throughout the property) or under the beautiful pergola with views of Mt. Ascutney.
Other places to visit in the area are King Arthur Flour in Norwich, VT, Hanover, NH (Hood Museum), Simon Pearce outlet in Windsor, VT (they often have glass blowing) and other restaurants and shops in the Windsor area. All are about 20 minutes away.
